This policy outlines TigerBeetle’s approach to privacy, which is to use “privacy-first” analytics, a minimum set of reputable service providers, and no cookies. This policy will be updated if laws change or internal practices evolve, with significant changes announced appropriately.
Analytics and Data Collection
When visiting any TigerBeetle site, including tigerbeetle.com or subdomains, as well as systemsdistributed.com: cookies aren’t stored, personal identifiers aren’t collected, personal data is not shared with third-parties, and there is no cross-site tracking. An EU-hosted tool, Plausible Analytics, collects anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g. pages visits, sessions, device type) to enhance user experience.
TigerBeetle collects only strictly what is necessary to deliver customer service:
Service Providers
In addition to Plausible, TigerBeetle relies on the following providers, with whom the minimum data required is shared, and never for advertising or profiling:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Secure hosting and infrastructure (Privacy Policy)
Slack – For communication, including coordination of support requests (Privacy Policy)
Mailchimp – For sending our newsletter and event updates (Privacy Policy)
Stripe – For secure ticket payment processing (Privacy Policy)
Choices and Data Use Limits
TigerBeetle respects individual choices about the use and sharing of personal data. Marketing communications can be opted out via unsubscribe links or privacy@tigerbeetle.com. Requests to limit how personal data is used or shared beyond its original purpose will be reviewed and honored as required by law.
Data Retention & Queries
We retain data to resolve support requests, only while subscribers or accounts are active, and as legally required. Under the GDPR, individuals have the right to access or delete their personal data. Requests can be sent to privacy@tigerbeetle.com, with confirmation given when requests are actioned.
